The first year of this project has been full of online meetings and remote work by our partners from Austria, Finland, Greece, Italy and Spain. Although we had not yet been able to work in the same physical space together, the results so far have been very promising and have received a lot of positive feedback from stakeholders in all partner countries. Nevertheless, we were all very much looking forward to being able to meet each other in person and being able to work for two whole days on the upcoming tasks of the Fit4DigiLinE project.

On November 15th and 16th we spent two fruitful days in the beautiful city of Athens, where  the partners from Innovation Frontiers hosted the meeting.

ting day started with a welcome meeting organized by the project coordinator. All participants took part in a small warm-up and team building activity, after which the development of the project in its first year was discussed, what had been achieved, the challenges faced and all necessary feedback was given. Later an evaluation of the first product (a report on motivation and constraints for digital language transfer) was carried out. All project partners commented on their experiences in carrying out the research and the results they achieved.

Later, the development of the second product, the e-learning course on how to use digital resources to teach languages online, was discussed. The intention is to make it as user-friendly as possible and to focus on the practical aspects of online language teaching. In addition, the development of a product is underway that will be useful not only for teachers, but for everyone involved in the online language teaching process, such as IT staff, school principals and anyone else who is in contact (directly or indirectly) with the subject matter.

A plan was also drawn up on the structure, how and when to start working on our third deliverable (a digital skills assessment tool).

On the second day we discussed the dissemination of the different outcomes of the project: how to reach not only as many people as possible, but also to make sure that we reach people who may be interested in the project and who will make good use of its results.

We all left Greece with wonderful memories and a long list of tasks ahead of us.

The results will definitely be amazing!
